Today we have a special present to you guys: we are launching our
brand new official The Gathering channel at youtube! This is our very
first one, and you will find some videos and soon some personal recordings from
the band here

The first videos you can see are from our try out show Saturday 20th June (Purmerend) in the Netherlands.
We have also done some off stage recordings (they will be online soon)
so watch out; you might even see someone you know;-).

Silje/The Gathering

Hi all,

We’re all back home again after a great weekend! It was such a joy to play live again, after 2 years, and actually do what it is all about: playing live, meet you all and have a great night (in fact, 2 nights!). I think we did a great job both nights, especially Silje, as it was her first 2 gigs with us. Of course we were all a bit nervous, especially in Heerlen, but after a couple of songs we were really rolling and we were enjoying every minute of it!  Congratulations to the people who won a chat with us backstage, it was all nice meeting you! It means a lot if people travel from Mexico, USA, Russia, even Taiwan (!) just to see us play live. I hope lots of gigs will follow in the future.

Some other news: The West Pole is now available on iTunes. So if you don’t believe in CD’s and vinyl anymore, but want to hear the album anyway, go to the store and download it. Cheers!

Hello friends!

Since we after all are playing our first gigs in almost two years and it will be the first gig with Silje we thought we should do something special for you guys attending the gigs. We are planning to have a lot of fun at these first gigs and they will be very personal and special to us, so we decided we will give away some brand new merch, signed posters and cds, and a little meet&greet where some of you can meet up with the band to have a nice chat and take some pics, and the best of all; we might even film YOU!

All you have to do is to send us an email to contestgathering@gmail.com telling us a shortly why you should be the one and include your full name.

The winners will get announced during the gig.

Hi all,

We thought it was time to boost our little MySpace player with some more songs from The West Pole. The new songs will be No Bird Call, A Constant Run and Capital Of Nowhere, so go check ‘em out here.

What’s more? We are finally busy scheduling a European Tour this autumn! When we have more details we will let you know! This will be our 20th anniversary tour, something to celebrate we think! But first things first: the try-out gigs are almost there. We are enjoying the rehearsals and preparations a lot! These gigs are very special (and rare!) and we hope you will all come by. We can’t wait to play live again, after almost 2 years!
