Hola everybody,
We just got back from a truly amazing benefit concert in Santiago, Chile! It has been even more special than we could have imagined!
We still have a big smile on our face from last weekend & the hard work and long travel have sure been worth the effort; the atmosphere was magic and all together we raised USD 25.000 for the Red Cross in Chile in co-operation with Chile Ayuda. They will do some really good work.
The lotery (with numberone prize René’s Eastwood guitar!) raised another USD 2.500 especially for the fishermen in Pichilemu. And also the Hogar de Cristo foundation will take care of distributing 90 boxes with food and water. Amazing!
We want to thank all the wonderful people who made this special concert come true: Gema, Wouter, Jose Luis Corral, SENA, Chile Ayuda, Paula Flores, Dutch Embassy in Chile, Catering Miel, Teatro Caupolican, Conapach, gathering.cl, Radio Futuro, Rockaxis, Hernan Rojas, Juan Carlos Araneda, Cruz Roja, all volunteers, friends and family in Holland, and everyone else that has helped. We couldn’t have done it without you!
It has been a wonderful experience & we’re grateful for that!

Suhas here from India, truly amazing to hear and see what the gathering has done,divine act truly, but one expects such things from the gathering, which is such a lovely band of wonderful people besides gifted musicians which is always reflected in the gathering music right, soulful loving beautiful, creative and technically sound and right!!! You guys are awesome just stay the way you are!!!!

well, in spanish because my english is no good: Quiero agradecer por que ustedes fueron una banda que vinieron especialmente a apoyarnos, quiza nosotros no lo pasamos tan mal como otros, pero nos sirvió para olvidarnos un rato de lo malo y tener la esperanza de que las cosas pueden mejorar… que aun queda por hacer y todos de una u otra manera pusimos nuestro granito de arena. Sin duda que lo que ustedes han hecho y en el poco tiempo que se pudo organizar todo tendra un valor inmenso para todos los fans que estamos en este lugar del mundo.
Para mí The Gathering es una institución por sí sola, independiente de lo que hagan, esto solo le dio más valor agregado a un grupo de personas que hacen lo que les gusta y BIEN!…
There aren't enough words in the world to describe how much we appreciate this, a lot of bands have donated money in some way or send messages of support, but YOU were the only ones who actually organized a concert just to raise money and came all the way here to do it, it's so touching. You're right, the atmosphere was beautiful, it made me very emotional. You've given us the special gift of your music and now your wonderful hearts. Thank you forever

Ustedes una banda genial, espero que nunca pierdan su linea musical y la calidad lirica de sus temas.
